Dear Hiring Personnel:
I am a Senior Police Executive and Security professional with more than thirty years of experience in almost every policing role, from Patrol Officer to Chief of Police. In addition I have completed several successful engagements as a Security Consultant and have taught the entire Criminal Justice curriculum as an Adjunct Professor.
The purpose of this letter is to introduce myself and summarize some of the assets I can bring to your organization:
• Proven track record of successfully taking on increasingly challenging assignments, including re-building the University of New Orleans Police Department after Hurricane Katrina
• Outstanding success in transferring policing skills to provide security for organizations like the University of New Orleans
• Recognized for building and implementing the Texas Police Chiefs accreditation program
• An accomplished educator and public speaker in the field of Criminal Justice
I have enclosed a copy of my resume for your review, and would ask you to pay particular attention to some of the achievements I have included. Next week I will follow up to discuss any available opportunities where I can contribute to the continuing success of your organization.
I look forward to our conversation and your feedback.

Manchmal hätte ich ja gerne meinen Philosophen-Securityman Robert zurück. Aber ich fürchte, der Herr ist nicht der rechte Ersatz.
